The feeling of touching spiritual heights is captured in  “Ascendance,” where angelic figures seem to be ascending  with joy and ecstasy.  The abstract fiery figures in yellow tinged with blue and rose exert their fiery presence against the cool blue background. This  creates a dynamic vibration. Intersecting horizontals and diagonals add a suggestion of the Magen David, which symbolizes both ascending and descending energy. The Baal Shem tov says that our prayers, said with intention, actually ascend and create and nourish the angels.
