In this painting, Yoram Raanan depicts the menorah reflecting the purple fire of the soul and its unceasing desire to rise to the source. The people, drawfed by the majestic presence of the Menorah in the Heichal (sanctuary), seem to be yearning and striving towards the enduring light.

One of the most enduring lessons of the Menorah is the enduring light. Thousands of years later, no matter how much darkness surrounds us, we still light the menorah. We still know who we are, and who we can be.
