Parokhet: Jewels2002 – 2003“The sanctuary was comprised of ten curtains (Parocheth) of violet, purple, and scarlet fabric with inwoven ('embroidered') figures of cherubim; each curtain measured 28 cubits (a cubit is about 1 1/2 feet by 4.) They were joined (i.e., sewn) together, forming two sets of five curtains each. To one edge of each set (on the long side) were attached 50 loops of violet thread, and the other two sets were connected by 50 gold clasps.”Exodus 26 and 36In rememberance of the biblical curtains, artists are often called upon to design curtains (Parochet) to adorn the ark where the Torah Scrolls are stored in places of worship.PrintsThis painting is available as a high quality hand-signed print in the following dimensions SMALL $90 25 x 35 centimeters 9.84 x 13.78 inches MEDIUM $220 35 x 50 centimeters 13.78 x 19.69 inches LARGE $320 50 x 70 centimeters 19.69 x 27.56 inches EXTRA LARGE $480 60 x 80 centimeters 23.62 x 31.5 inches OVERSIZE $960 80 x 120 centimeters 31.5 x 47.24 inches Shipping and Handling $35 |
