Abu Tor, one of the most picturesque neighborhoods of Jerusalem, is built on the slopes of a hill south of the old city along the road to Bethlehem.

This painting, uses brushes of radiant color to capture the unique flavors of harmony and co&‘existence in the area of Abu Tor. On the left side of the canvas you can see the top of Abu Tor, where a Greek Orthodox Monastery is built over the foundations of a medieval church, which contains ancient catacombs and crypts. In the center you can see the beautiful Kidron valley where Jerusalemites of all persuasions come to picnic and frolic. On the right side you can see the steep slopes and paths leading from the valley up to the site where the Jewish Temple stood in ancient times.
